In the marine world, Corsa exhausts are king. So, when it came time to make a plunge into the four-wheeled market, Corsa went after the automotive equivalent of a thundering American speedboat: the Corvette. Starting with the C4 generation, Corsa hand-crafted stainless steel exhausts that not only tickled enthusiasts, they turned the heads in GM’s performance shop. This earned Corsa exhausts a lofty place among the Corvette accessories adopted under the General’s label. And, it earned Corsa a place underneath the first of several Indy 500 pace cars. But, how would a specialized product made by a small producer of pipes earn such mainstream distinction?

The answer is technology. A drawback to nearly all exhaust systems made before Corsa debuted was the interior resonance or drone that assaults the ears at certain RPMs. Corsa developed a fully tuned chambered muffler with individually welded deflectors that cancel the drone. But, these deflectors still allowed the high-volume flow that a Vette’s engine requires to maximize performance. Instantly, Corsa had a patent on the best-flowing, best-sounding Corvette exhaust on the market.

The technology behind Corsa’s revolutionary muffler core wouldn’t be anything without the quality manufacturing every set of Corsa pipes receives. They start with 304 stainless steel, the highest grade available for corrosion resistance. Next, the pipes are hydroformed into shape for a restriction-free exhaust path. And, each part of the kit is hand-welded to ensure quality. Combine that with an experienced, precision fit, and the complete Corsa exhaust gave its resonance-canceling technology every opportunity to succeed.

Corvettes have been the sharpest looking car on the road for quite some time now. And the drive toward performance parts is something almost universally held by Vette owners. There may be intricate twin intakes, advanced headers, and even suspension components that get those last few neck hairs to stand at attention. But, nothing to come around in the last 30 years of Corvette accessories has changed Vette performance quite like Corsa’s exhausts. It’s a must that I tell all of you about this particular idea, if you know me at all, then you know that I always say anything is possible, your only limited by your imagination, and you pocket book, now that we have that out of the way, let me explain why I’m all giddy.

The reason that it excites me so much is this simple fact, you take a 1963 split window Corvette, and in one step you get rid of all of the problems of the past, like horrible ride, lack luster handling, and no creature comforts.

You step up to a brand new 1963 split window Corvette with modern braking systems, modern fuel infection, and a supercharged engine putting out 620 hp, and 585 LBFT of torque, this without question builds one super cool hot rod of the modern times, with a classic retro styling like no other car.

For those of you who aren’t car freaks, let me try to explain it so you can feel the same way that I do, what you need to do is take the most exciting thing that has ever happened to you, and times it by ten, that will get you about half way to the way that I feel about this, this is creating a brand new car, by taking the best of the past, and combining it with the present.

It in to consideration the very best of the past years, and updates it to the present, so in essence you’d be driving a brand new 1963 Corvette, that does everything that the 2009 ZR1 Corvette does, I’ve wanted to do something like this for myself for a long time, and it’s a great day even if it’s not my car.

This car a a hot rod in the truest form of the word, except instead of doing the mods one at a time, we do them all at once, this is just like the movie back to the future, accept so much more cool then that, because it happens to be real, a real car, a classic and a new car combined to achieve the best of both.

Assembled on December 16, 1966, this Corvette shows excellent paint, which was done very recently. Bumpers have been rechromed, and are excellent as well. Taillights, emblems, and exterior door handles are all new, and in excellent condition. Weatherstripping is newer and in very good condition. This car wears rally wheels, which are in very good condition, wearing fair condition trim rings and center caps. Tires are brand new BF Goodrich Silvertown Radials, sporting redlines and 11/32nds of tread remaining. The interior of this 1967 Corvette shows very good condition seat covers, dash pads, and gauges. Center console is excellent; door panels are in good condition, while the original steering wheel is in fair condition. Carpet is newer correct loop style, and in very good condition. The engine in this car shows casting date November 28, 1966, and final assembly date December 7, 1966. Ignition shielding is in place, as are correct hoses and clamps.
